Generations Tour

2025 E-Summit

Each year, ShopGoodwill brings together leaders from over 135 Goodwill organizations across the country for its annual Summit. It’s a time to align, learn, and set direction.

In 2025, the focus was clear. Create an experience that people would genuinely want to attend, honor Nashville in a way that felt real, and deliver practical insight, new tools, and confidence about what comes next.

With a long-standing creative partnership built on trust, The Buddy Group was asked to shape an experience that felt energizing, immersive, and worth the investment of time and travel.

WORK

    Branding & Visual Identity

The 2025 Summit theme—The Generations Tour—drew from Nashville’s musical legacy while drawing on the nostalgia produced by ShopGoodwill’s secondhand and vintage offerings.

The identity system connected legacy and forward motion. It carried the spirit of the city while remaining unmistakably ShopGoodwill.

    Deliverables included:

    • A fully developed event identity centered on the Generations Tour concept
    • Environmental graphics and branded materials throughout the venue
    • Custom merchandise for attendees
    • Content development, including guidance specific to messaging, structure, and delivery, along with visual assets that supported keynote sessions and breakout environments

Nashville informed the tone of the entire experience. It shaped announcements, transitions, visuals, and shared moments throughout the event.

All creative was executed within compressed timelines and the spatial constraints of the host hotel, the brand identity translating seamlessly across a complex physical environment.

    Event Experience & Production

The Summit experience was designed to feel focused and energizing.

    Programming included:

    • Breakout sessions featuring special guests
    • Guest speakers, including designer Evan Hirsch
    • Presentations on internal initiatives and emerging technology
    • Sessions focused on improving efficiency, sales performance, and listing capabilities

The experience balanced inspiration with practicality. Attendees were introduced to tools and technologies that support more efficient listing, tracking, and selling. Each session connected directly to the day-to-day realities sellers face in their stores.

The intention was clear—equip attendees with insight they could apply immediately and leave them aligned around a shared direction.

AUTHENTICITY & RELATABILITY

    Authenticity

ShopGoodwill operates from a mission-driven foundation. Community impact, stewardship, and sustainable growth guide decision-making across the organization.

The Summit reflected that foundation. The experience reinforced the pride sellers take in their work and the shared responsibility they carry nationwide.

The creative aligned with the organization’s existing culture and values, strengthening what was already true.

    Relatability

Sellers attend Summit looking for practical insight, ways to improve performance, streamline operations, and better serve their local communities.

The 2025 Summit addressed those needs directly.

New technologies were introduced clearly and with context. Sessions connected learning to everyday workflows. Attendees could see how new initiatives would support their individual stores and teams.

The experience made the future feel tangible and actionable.
