Jack In The Box had a critical need to communicate a new vision of strategic growth to the investment community. Self-aware that over the prior ten years, Jack in the Box had not effectively grown their unit store count. It was up to the Leadership to effectively communicate that during this period the franchisees had deployed their capital into refranchising corporate-owned stores. With refranchising completed the new Jack In The Box management team wanted to share their excitement for the strategic possibilities this new chapter presents with investors, franchisees and the team at Jack In The Box.

Objective

The Buddy Group, in partnership with Jack himself, produced a game-changing virtual Investor Day experience that elevated the brand regionally as well as with a high volume of East Coast investors who “didn’t know Jack” about the predominately West Coast fast-food brand.


Outcome

The Buddy Group constructed a virtual Investor Day experience that delivered the message, in the irreverent style of Jack, that the brand is anything but another burger player in the market. The Storydriven presentation elevated the brand by showcasing narratives of franchisees, many of whom had started their careers behind the counter or at the grill. The Buddy Group partnered with Arbor Advisory Group to help shape the investor narrative and maintain quality relationships with investors.
